When people think of camping festivals, they usually picture staying in the tents in the night and getting in the day time to find a nice place to do some adventurous activity. Hiking is specifically the preferred activity.

Camping festivals are known for taking place in the summer months for the best weather possible since everyone ends up being outside. And when I say everyone, I mean many people. But one thing a lot of people fail to consider is that camping festivals also happen in the spring and fall. And considering it’s mid fall, did you know people still go to festivals that are outdoor?

The best part of festivals, in my opinion, are the food vendors who always provide amazing food you’ve never heard of. And camping is the pretty much the only way to do a festival when partying for days straight. But overall, festivals are a coming together of peace amazing people who just want to get engaged in the nice healthy activities.

So if you happen to be someone who is new to festivals, my best advice for you is to be serious about your dresses, especially footwear. How is that, though? Let’s talk about the best types of shoes!

Tennis shoes.

Classic, we know. But for real, I always bring an old pair of comfy shoes that I’ve stuffed away in my storage of shipping boxes. Tennis shoes are honestly a great move on your part, especially if you’re new to festivals. The support is exactly what you need when everyone will be standing for multiple hours at a time, multiple times in a day. So, dig into your own storage of shipping boxes containing loads of old shoes, find your favorite pair, and pack em!

Open-toed sandals.

Whether you’re a big fan of one brand or another (you know the two), these are always known as the classic footwear of festivals simply because of their great support and open design to allow your feet to stay cool.

Hiking boots.

This is a go to for a lot of people because of how sturdy they are and the ventilation they provide more than anything. Hiking boots are just too great not to use because they support tougher activities that you want to do outdoors. Since it gives people the support they want if they’re standing all day, it could be your best bet.

When Shipping Creates Companies

Now that I’m two weeks into having my first community supported fish, I’m able to give the whole process and concept of it all a more solid review. Weeks ago I mentioned how I excited I was for the fresh, line-caught fish from Alaska to arrive at my doorstep. And here we are, two weeks later.

It’s funny that such a business could succeed as it has. At first glance, it seems kind of weird or counterproductive. But when you nail down exactly what is needed in certain parts of the country, you have a recipe for an amazing business. For example, community supported agricultures are all the rage right now, with the midwest having its heyday compared to the coastal regions. But copying that model has been huge for fisheries on both the east and west coast, and so community supported fisheries became a thing.

Seems a bit unfair for different regions to be cut off depending on their geography though, right? Well, that’s what this company in Alaska noticed, and so they decided to make a second home base in Chicago in order to ship the majority of their fish to the midwest and have it delivered just days later.

I know that I’ll be looking forward to shipment days each and every month, if only because it’s all quite exciting. Tips for Reliable Packaging

Shipping companies have been striving hard to ensure that integrity of packages remain intact from dispatch until delivery. However, a fair amount of risk of items getting damaged during transit still exists. Good news is that you can avoid such mishaps by ensuring that your package is capable to endure the harshness that might come during handling or transportation. These safety measures have to be followed by the sender because carriers wouldn’t work on securing any package from the perspective of any of its requirements apart from improving the process of handling and transportation.

Important guidelines that should be taken into consideration to ensure package’s safety are as under.

Provide suitable cushioning to the items

Cushioning is usually done with the help of packaging materials that have shock absorbent properties. Every void in the box should be filled using appropriate cushioning materials.

• Newspapers, peanuts and bubble wrap can be used for filling purposes. These materials are ideal for avoiding item’s movement in the box.
• If you are shipping multiple items in a single box, wrap every item using suitable cushioning material and keep every item away from each other and also from top, bottom and all four sides.
• Use cushioning wrap of minimum 3-inch thickness for fragile items.
• For general items, use cellular air-filled cushioning of 2-inch thickness.
• Items which cannot be packed in shipping boxes should be secured well by covering its edges and delicate areas using corrugated board.

Ensure safer boxing

Picking strong and reliable box for shipping is essential. Make sure that box is capable to accommodate the item along with recommended cushioning.

• Use protective shipping boxes for the items that might be at the risk of getting damaged if packed in standard boxes.
• The sturdy outer boxes should be used to ship non-fragile items.
• Boxes that contain shoes and gifts should be packed in corrugated boxes.
• Granular items or the items that might get spilled during shipping should be stored in leak proof containers with strong seal. Sift-proof plastic bag is an appropriate choice in this regard.
• Make sure that shipping box is in good shape and condition from every aspect.
• To pack heavy items, use double boxes.

Seal the package

Sealing should be done used H-taping method. Moreover, the taping should be done by applying at least three strips of tape on top and bottom flaps.

The suitable types of tape are pressure-sensitive plastic tape, water-activated reinforced tape and water-activated paper tape.

Labeling the package

Labeling with clear printed text is very important to ensure that package arrives at right address.

• Complete delivery information should be placed inside and outside the box.
• If the box has been used previously, remove previous labels or make them void with the help of cross mark.
• Do not attach labels on corners, edges and seam of the box.
